How to read the pages on this site

The pages here describe how we approach role clarification, meeting redesign and succession conversations, and roughly what each engagement involves. They are orientation for a reader deciding whether any of it fits their company. They are not a diagnosis of any organisation, and a description of a common pattern should not be taken as a statement about yours.

Not legal, tax or employment advice

Organisational questions often sit next to legal ones: employment contracts, the articles of a company, share transfers in a succession, the tax treatment of any of these. We do not advise on those matters. Where an engagement reaches one, we say so and suggest the kind of professional to consult, and our materials are written so that a lawyer or tax accountant can pick them up.

Prices shown

The prices on the offer pages describe the typical size of each engagement, for example the number of interviews or facilitated sessions included. A larger company, more locations or additional sessions change the scope, and the price for that scope is agreed in writing before any work starts. Browsing the site or sending an enquiry creates no charge.

What to send through the form

A few lines about the company and the question you are facing are enough for a first reply. Please do not include names of individual staff or details of family circumstances in that first message; if they become relevant, we will discuss how to share them with care.

Law, jurisdiction and changes

These terms are governed by the laws of Japan, and the Sapporo District Court has exclusive jurisdiction at first instance over any dispute arising from the use of this website. We may revise these terms as the site changes; the version published on the day of use applies.

Examples on this site

Descriptions of situations on these pages, such as a meeting that repeats last month's agenda or a founder whose approval is needed for every purchase, are composites written to illustrate common patterns. They are not drawn from any client and are not presented as case studies. We do not publish client names or case studies, and we will not do so without a client's written agreement.

Accessibility of this website

We aim to keep this site readable with screen readers and at larger text sizes. If any page is difficult to use, please tell us through the contact page and we will send the information in another form.

Contact and responses

We read enquiries ourselves and reply on working days. A first reply usually asks a few questions about the size of the company and the situation, and does not commit either side to anything. If we are not the right fit, we say so and, where we can, suggest another kind of help.
